On 24th June 1994, 133 students from St
Peter’s competed in the Rock Eisteddfod Finals. |

The quest to reach the finals commenced
at the end of 1993, when students and teachers who had ideas for the
1994 theme met together. |

| |
A vote was held and the popular African
Zulu theme was chosen. It was felt that this theme would be a good
foundation for a vibrant and eye catching dance routine. |

While the dancers rehearsed
enthusiastically, the backstage crew and Mrs Hodgson designed, made
and painted the sets and other props. Mrs Morton and her costume crew
sewed the fabulous costumes. |

After four hours of performances on the
evening of the final, the judges announced St Peter’s as second place
runner up with an additional award for set design. |
