When we were chosen to be
a part of the cast and crew of the 1996 Rock Eisteddfod at the end of
last year, we were absolutely ecstatic, just like everyone else who
had been chosen. After our first rehearsal, we thought maybe it was a
terrible mistake to be a dancer. The dance that the choreographers
showed us that afternoon was so FAST!! |

We didn’t have to go to the next few
rehearsals because the Hebrews were learning their dance. Boy, were we
Egyptians ever astounded to see the extremely bold scene that the
Hebrews had to do! After that it was all drills, drills and more
drills. |

With time and drills and a lot of
yelling, our performance turned from just regular dancing into telling
a moving story. We worked a lot on our facial expressions and
dramatics, which really helped out performance to come closer to the
audience. |
